This is a gently used copy of The Temptations' 1973 album, Masterpiece. This album was produced by Norman Whitfield, and naturally, took to his signature sound/style. This meant a focus on more instrumental selections, with sometimes minimal vocals from the members of the group. This was especially the case for the title track, which was a staggering 14 minutes long, but only featured 3 minutes of Temptations vocals. Upon its release, many fans and critics noted that this sounded like a Whitfield album, with supporting vocals from The Temptations. However, it still fared well on the charts, with the song "Masterpiece" hitting #1 on the R&B singles chart, and #7 on the hot 100.
