It peaked at #9 on the Black Albums charts, and #31 on the Billboard Albums charts. It has also been certified Gold by the RIAA. The album's lead single, "Lovergirl" was a major hit, reaching #4 on the Hot 100, and it also earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
