This was the group first album after Teddy Pendergrass left the group to attempt a solo career. Upon its release, the album peaked at #15 on the R&B charts, and #56 on the Billboard 200. The lead, and title, single, "Reaching For the World" peaked at #6 on the R&B charts and #74 on the Billboard 100.
