This is a used copy of Curtis Mayfield's sophomore studio album, Roots, originally released in 1971. The album has received critical acclaim since its release, being regarded as one of Mayfield's best works, but also a classic album of the '70s soul era, akin to that of Marvin Gaye's What's Going On. Commercially, the album did well, reaching the #6 spot on the Billboard R&B album charts.
